LOVE ❤️ SPRINGS ETERNAL

Spring is just "around the corner".  Daylight Savings Time, the vernal equinox, and warmer weather are here, or close at hand.  With spring, we are reminded of the poem, "Love Springs Eternal", and with good reason.

It is certainly true for our family in this spring of 2021.  You'll learn why in this blog, but let's first read the final lines of Anthony Halat's poem:

"....She enchanted him, he fascinated her,

Shyness and sadness, no longer alone in the lands,

Bound together with shared demands,

Felt by both, 'Love springs eternal'.

A life of bliss, spirits entwined,

Love that is pure in spirit and mind.

Life mates forever, happiness found in the land,

Touched by fate's tender hands,

Love springs eternal!       -      Anthony Halat

Our granddaughter Kiley Coppock said "Yes", and just like that, she and Mason Vogel became engaged in early February of this year.  They both grew up in the Hunter's Ridge area in Marion, attended Linn-Mar High School, and graduated in 2014.  Kiley graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2018, and Mason received his degree from Kirkwood Community College.  (They have been "going together" since 8th grade. )

Kiley and Mason live in Nashville, Tennessee, where they are both employed.  They will be married at The Bridge Building in Nashville on Friday, December 10, 2021.  Congratulations, Kiley and Mason!

It's going to be a very BUSY 12 months for David and Janet.  In addition to Kiley's engagement and upcoming wedding, Janet's son Braxton Lancial proposed to Megan Hambleton in Februaryas well.  They will be married on May 7, 2022, in West Branch, Iowa, just east of Iowa City.

Braxton is also from Marion, graduating from Linn-Mar H.S. and then St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.  He is Senior Solutions Architect for Twitch.  Megan is from Ottawa, IL, and she is a graduate of the University of Illinois.  Megan is Senior Strategist for Bread & Butter.  Braxton and Megan reside in Seattle, Washington.    Congratulations Megan and Braxton!

Teryn Scott and Alek Santo also announced their engagement in early 2021.  Teryn is the daughter of Kim (my sister Jan's oldest daughter) and Todd Scott of Kansas City, MO.  They, too, have set their wedding date:  June 3, 2022.  Teryn and Alek will be married at the Hawthorne House in Plattville, MO.

Teryn graduated from Platte County H.S., Platte City, MO.  She later received her BSN degree from Missouri Southern University.  She is now employed in the Kansas City area as a Registered Nurse.at Pediatric Associates.  Alek is a graduate of Rose Hill H.S., and he is a recent graduate of the University of Kansas City chiropractic school.  Alek is a chiropractor in the Kansas City area.  Congratulations to Teryn and Alek!

Last, but certainly not least, Brittney Lancial and Andrew Falco announced their engagement in the fall of 2020.   Though the first of the 4 couples to become engaged, they saved their wedding for the finale!!  Andrew and Brittney are both from Marion, Iowa, and graduates of Linn-Mar H.S.  Andrew graduated in 2014, Brittney in 2016.  They are both graduates of the University of Northern Iowa.

They will be married at the EPIC in Marion on August 13, 2022.  Andrew is currently a Fuel Processing Specialist for Caseys, Inc. in Ankeny, Iowa; and Brittney is a science teacher in the Ankeny Community School district.  Congratulations Brittney and Andrew!

So, you see, Love does Spring Eternal!  As to the above question, Brittney, Kiley, Megan and Teryn all said "YES" and we're glad they did.  Our family is blessed in so many ways, and we welcome our newest members.  We are so looking forward to helping you all celebrate in 2021 and 2022.
